Rocket Racing started it’s season for 2007 down in Florida at East Bay Raceway Park for the 360 Winternationals.  Dan got to break in his new 360 engine on a really fast track.  No interesting results to post; he just got a lot more racing experience with the best in the business.  There is a full season planned with at least 40 races on the schedule including a full season at Trailways and running all of the ASCS 360 races at Susquehanna Speeway.  Also, we’ll get in a few races at Selinsgrove and Lincoln.  Below are some pictures of the new cars and the crew as well as a few pictures from East Bay.

This is Jen posting for Dan.  Here is the heat race from Trailways on August 25, 2006.  Dan was supposed to start 6th in the feature, but the cable on the shifter broke and he wasn’t allowed to fix it and go back out on the track to start the race.  I missed the very beginning of the race; sorry.  I was late getting to the stands.

Here are a few highlights from the picnic today we had at our place.  Thank you to everyone who came.  We had a great time and we hope you all did, too.  I wish the weather had been warmer, but the kids didn’t seem to mind.  Thanks to Nathan and Amy; Kerri and Shawn; Mike, Leanne, Sylvia, Mason, and Leslie; Jason, Becky, Drew, Ava, and Cole; Tim, Van, and Amy; Big Pimpin’ Ken; Luke and Mindy; and Aaron and Jamie.

This is Jen posting for Dan.  I finally got the feature video edited from the Lincoln race on July 29, 2006 where Dan place 6th.  I had to lighten it up because it was so dark, so the video quality stinks.  Dan will be at Lincoln racing tonight.  I will post the video as soon as possible.  I will be hanging out in the infield, so taking video should be interesting.

2ND PLACE FINISH!!!

Finished 2nd in heat race after starting 4th.  Finished 2nd in the feature after starting 6th.  Below is heat race and feature.  Thanks to my crew.  I got the best pit crew out there.  Tonight we are headed to Lincoln Speedway.

Below is heat race and feature.  Started 13th in feature.  Had to go to the back after hitting the cone on a restart.  Finished 9th overall.
